Heart of the Wolds in 2013

Entries Open for Second Year of Sportive

Posted on 4th November

Entries for the second edition of the Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive in East Yorkshire have now opened and we think you'll have another great day of cycling.

Adam Hardy comments: "Like last year we've got three distinct routes which we think will cater for every level of cyclist, but this year we decided to change the distance and route of our entry level route, the Langtoft Loop, to make it even more accessible to all levels of cyclists, including families. Our mid range route, the Classic at 100km will be a good test for most riders, while for those people wanting to be out on their bikes for over 5 hours can try our Challenge route at 136km."

Phil Haskins says: "Last year's inaugural event attracted nearly 600 riders and given that positive response we hope to attract up to 800 this year which will make our event one of the largest in East Yorkshire. Like last year we'll be sending out our event brochure and event number (with 15% discount offer from Cliff Pratt Cycles) a few weeks beforehand."

We are also hoping to add in a hill challenge this year so that on several climbs around the course, riders will be invited to time themselves going up the climb and then comparing their times to various standards. More information about this to follow.

Other highlights of the event to include:
